POSITION: Manager, Market Research and Insights

LOCATION: St. Louis Missouri or Tewksbury Massachusetts

SALARY: Negotiable based on Location and Experience

DEGREE: BSRequired, MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE: 5 Years experience Market and Customer Insights, preferably with exposure to international/global

RELOCATION: Relocation Package Available

Client is looking for a Manager, Market Research and Insights. This individual will provide Global strategic insights/guidance to customers, including senior management, utilizing primary and secondary resources and advanced analytic techniques.

Manage and analyze secondary market research and manage primary market research studies in response to critical business questions.

Study internal and external information to help company make informed decisions about its market.

Work cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals.

Conduct and consolidate critical components of annual market assessment processes including but not limited to: market analysis by competitor, geography, and key segments; cross- functional assumption alignment for market assessment; management review presentations; regularly perform market updates based on analysis.

Prepare executive level summaries and present key assumptions, findings and observations along with actionable information to inform strategic decisions.

Analyze competitor performance and growth, profitability trends

Planning and Management of customer research projects

Education and experience:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree a plus but not required.

5+ years of related experience (such as market research, finance, and/or commercial) to satisfactorily meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.

Candidate / incumbent should possess the following:

Solid understanding of various market research methodologies and ability to interpret research findings and synthesize them into actionable business recommendations

Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams

Ability to gain respect and credibility by all levels of the organization

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

Comfortable with presenting and making recommendations to senior management

Must be able to challenge peers and individuals in higher positions

Ability to lead people and organizations without having direct authority over them

High level of integrity and good teamwork skills

Attention to detail and the ability to interpret and communicate information effectively are key for success in the role.

Must have high knowledge of data sources and a demonstrated ability to use these sources to conduct analysis for ad-hoc and urgent requests for market insights.
