Job Description


This position primarily focuses on material flow and manages optimum control levels. A Manager of Material Control is responsible for managing all types of materials to support operations, business services, engineering, and marketing initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

* Analyze material flow and determine optimum control levels
* Assist in development of relevant processes and procedures
* Ensure all processes are properly documented and communicated
* Oversees the flow of material through sites and integrates various planning and information systems to provide accurate information, effective material control, and continuous improvement in performance in order to meet the objectives and needs of the company and its customers
* Manage the activities of staff, with site and other support groups, to ensure schedules and material control plans are fully integrated within the project organization
* Conduct internal audits for inventory control
* Manage surplus disposal in most optimized manner
* Interface with vendors and internal customers as required for material forecasting, demand planning, and operational planning
* Archive appropriate records
* Provide analysis through inventory and accounting control group in areas of inventory accuracy and inventory levels
* Other duties as assigned

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-Experience/Skills Needed:

* Project Management experience is preferred
* Excellent organizational, multitasking, oral, and written communication skills
* Provide outstanding customer service and support in professional manner
* Desire to learn new skills, be challenged and have growth potential
* Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance
* Strong analytical ability to help drive business performance and identify trending
* Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
* Ability to document process and communicate any changes or rollouts effectively
* Ability to facilitate discussions and delegate action items and responsibilities effectively
* Strong presentation and public speaking skills
* Ability to manage through multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously
* Applicant must be a team player who can motivate team members and cross resource to accomplish the common goal
* Must be able to work under pressure, along with demonstrating solid time management skills and demonstrate a winning attitude

-Computer Skills:

* Technical proficiency in Windows, Visio, Word, Excel, Project and Microsoft Office required
* Ability to learn new software systems and access online support/tools
