Department: Surgical Admin
INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY
Direct, plans, coordinates and optimizes surgery materials resources and supply chain activities, patient billing functions, purchasing functions, process improvement and CQI projects and activities to support quality services to surgeons, physicians, clinical staff members and patients in a cost effective/ cost efficient manner that meets or exceeds organizational requirements.
Bachelors degree in business administration or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined required. (One year of education equals one year of experience.) Masters in Business Admin or Healthcare related field preferred. Minimum of two years experience in a healthcare environment to include experience in financial management and process improvement required. Experience in purchasing, materials management, billing/reimbursement; budgeting, capital equipment acquisition/negotiations, contract administration, trend analysis, revenue analysis, analytical skills, and activity based costing preferred. Green Belt Certification and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. Successful completion of the Foundations for Continuous Improvement training within 18 months of hire/transfer date into this position required. Proficient in MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint required. Knowledge of decision support systems required. Flexibility and dedication to team environment required. Ability to lead and develop teams required. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to anticipate and respond effectively to changes in direction and priorities required. Well-ordered approach to problem solving required. Exempt Day
