The Manager, Plant Engineering is responsible for managing the installation, maintenance, and improvement of all equipment and utilities.



Manage safety, quality, service, and cost associated with the maintenance, utilities and engineering funtions within the St. Louis Facility

Drive improvements within the maintenance, utilities, and engineering groups to achieve site performance objectives

Build talent and capabilities across the maintenance, utilities, and engineering organizations to ensure the current and future health of the site

Manage MRO procurement* Ensure regulatory compliance in a complex manufacturing environment





* Maintain a safe work environment, meeting all relevant OSHA, corporate and workplace safety requirements


Manage maintenance, utilities, and engineering health and safety in order to achieve EHS index target for site



Maintain quality and compliance excellence

Ensure that all regulatory commitments are met in regards to equipment maintenance and record keeping

Support FDA, EMA, and other health authority relations and inspections

Identify opportunities to eliminate potential equipment issues which could impact product quality



Ensure all equipment is maintained to provide reliability to allow the plant to adhere to their respective production plans

Develop plans to ensure that preventative and corrective maintenance needs of the plant are met



Manage maintenance budget in order to achieve annual budget objectives

Effectively utilize resources to identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve cost and reliability

Monitor maintenance performance trends and results against objectives and implement corrective actions in a timely manner* Establish a weekly shop floor presence by holding GEMBA walks and identifying opportunities for improvement



Must hold a B.S. in Engineering or related discipline


At least 10 years of experience encompassing API, dosage, biological, or parenteral manufacturing operations

Experience with control of multiple, diverse projects

Proven ability to communicate effectively

Should understand corporate accounting methods and practices.

Should have a working knowledge of continuous improvement, utilizing such techniques as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.

_Preferred Skills/Qualifications:_

Six Sigma Green belt, and/or Lean certification preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Project, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
