This position is primarily responsible for all operational support buying of goods and services. The role interfaces with the Plant Management team to align procurement with needs for planned and unplanned maintenance; inventory management, and on-going service support. The role will also work closely in developing and driving compliance with Master Services Agreements that leverage Buckeye wide spend for such categories as MRO, Electrical Supplies, Inspections Services, etc. The incumbent must have deep knowledge of construction, maintenance, equipment, and materials categories.



Developing, negotiating, implementing and maintaining competitively advantageous supply arrangements, in addition to, zone stores, vendor managed inventory, and other contracting strategies required to manage and optimize inventory levels

Categories Managed: Equipment and Materials, Construction Services, and General Services

Maintenance Project Support

Average Annual Spend: $50-100MM

Supply Contracts Size up to $10MM

Provide global leadership for developing and standardizing work processes, introducing and sustaining supply base competition, and leveraging spend whenever practical.

Lead engineering and contractor partner identification and qualification efforts in new geographies to assist business entry.

Responsible for advancing the sourcing work process and associated P-T-P tools globally to drive the Buckeye Way.

Provide leadership for understanding, monitoring, communicating, and responding to dynamic market conditions and business drivers to maximize leverage and minimize risk.

Bring innovative supplier solutions to maximize value proposition across the supply chain.

Manage supplier performance and maintain interface at senior levels of supplier s organization.

Ensure that the sourcing process is consistent with the necessary regulatory and legal requirements.

Balancing workload across the enterprise to maximize effective use of resources.

Recruiting, training, and development of staff.

Other duties as assigned.



Education: Bachelor Degree required; Master s degree preferred

Experience: 10 - 15+ years of experience,

Special skills: Negotiating, Contracting, experience working in an ERP System, business process development, process improvement, and change management.

An advanced technical understanding and exceptional commercial contracting skills are required.



ISM Institute of Supply Management preferred



Proficient computer skills, influence skills, strong verbal and written communication skills. Financial skills (reviewing balance sheet, income statement)



This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
