Manager, Promotional Development and Procurement
POSITION SUMMARY:
The candidate will be responsible for the day to day development & status of displays & display packaging from concept to completion. Create bid packages, purchase all required materials, and manage timelines. Works closely with the Creative, Marketing, Sales Planning, Assembly, Finance and Customer Service and oversee outside vendors
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the development and production of displays & corrugate packaging from conception to completion.
Attend daily and weekly status meetings with internal teams & vendors.
Work as the liaison between Creative, Marketing and vendors to get displays designed, developed and produced.
Responsible to ensure that displays are structurally sound, within budget, and appropriately represent the brand s image.
Maintain status report of each project and manage project launch timelines.
Bid, negotiate promotional displays and manage and maintain budget of all programs launches
Create codes and display bills of materials.
Issue Purchase Orders and associated support documents for all items purchased
Validate program specifications in the company database for EDI transmission to the retailers systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor s degree in packaging, supply chain or similar discipline
5 + years demonstrated work experience in display development, production/manufacturing, packaging, and purchasing.
Must be a self-starter and work well without constant supervision.
Needs the ability to schedule time and meet deadlines.
Must be flexible and be able to multi task, working on many projects at one time.
This person will be working with budgets and cost estimates so they must be detail oriented and accurate in their work.
Must be able to work in Excel and SAP / SRM experience is a plus
Must be eligible to work in the US on an ongoing and permanent basis.
