TITLE

Manager, Purchasing Business Services

REPORTS TO

Senior Manager, Purchasing Business Services



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Process Leadership

* Deliver against purchasing business strategies by providing process and system expertise

* Understand how purchasing systems integrate with the rest of the business and provide guidance on purchasing business processes

* Identify and help to resolve purchasing system issues and process improvement opportunities

* Provide recommendations as a subject matter expert for the purchasing systems and business processes

* Focus on enabling technology, implement best practices and improve employee experience

People and Organization Development

* Responsible for developing people (Smucker people development including administration of career path, individual work / development plans and performance management)

* Manage and report team performance to key stakeholders

* Motivate team members to complete goals and objectives

Organization Leadership

* Partner with IS business process development for continuous improvement

* Build effective working relationships with PCoP and cross-functional stakeholders

* Represent purchasing on cross-functional initiatives

Daily Management

* Lead and supervise day-to-day activities of team members

* Maintain a flow to the work, customer service mindset across the team

* Develop and manage appropriate KPI s to measure team success



SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

* A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA is preferred

Experience

* At least two years of people management experience is required

* At least 3 years of experience supporting systems / business processes is required

* Ariba P2O functional experience is a plus

Other

* Strong leadership capabilities

* Solid understanding of technical aspect of systems and business processes

* Customer-focused

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Demonstrate ability to implement

* Strong group facilitation and project management skills

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Travel for new and ongoing business support (estimated less than 10% travel)

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
