General Purpose of the Job: Plans, coordinates, and manages Quality & ISO programs designed to ensure continuous improvement of products consistent with established standards by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The Quality Manager will focus on metrics such as operational, supplier and process quality in order to insure delivery of high quality products and services that meet customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

* Leads efforts to resolve critical quality issues reported by production facility relating to our products or products from our Suppliers. Rates the suppliers in the areas of quality and issues quality scorecards for suppliers.

Develops a supplier development program to continually improve the quality of products from our suppliers.
*

Leads efforts to use market vision research to measure customer satisfaction.
*

Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
*

Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards.
*

Establishes proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
*

Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
*

Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.
*

Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
*

Works with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts for company use.
*

Creates and directs environmental test functions.
*

Designs and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
*

Investigates and responds to customer complaints regarding quality.
*

Responsible for the development and maintenance of quality control systems for processing materials into finished products, and for finished product quality.
*

Devises sampling procedures, supervises the design of forms for recording quality checks and preparation of instructions for these procedures to comply with acceptable quality standards.
*

Manages the ISO 9000 programs, as directed.Responsible for key measurable.
*

Maintains working knowledge of government and industry regulations such as UL, EPA/CARB.
*

Plays active role on quality management teams within organization and keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
*

Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Minimum 10 years of Quality Management leadership experience required.

*

Global quality system development, management and administration at a global level.
*

Cross-functional leadership such as a Project or Program management capacity.
*

Experienced with applying quality tools and techniques including extensive work in APQP and FMEAs, particularly SFMEA and DFMEA; as well as SPC, Control Plans, PPAP, sampling plans, and corrective actions.
*

Application of root cause corrective action tools; 8D, A3, 5Y, equivalent.
*

Experience in a multi-plant, multi-location, multi-country quality management environment.
*

A minimum of 5 years in a direct supervisory or management role; leading and mentoring teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Working knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems.

*

Working knowledge of APQP.
*

Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.
*

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
*

Demonstrated knowledge of coordinating the standardization of global systems, procedures, and practices.
*

Excellent written and oral communication skills
*

Excellent organizational skills, able to handle and prioritize multiple projects and related tasks.
*

Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and solve problems in a timely, practical and cost-effective manner.
*

Strong computer skills (MS Office, database applications, etc.)
*

Ability to lead and facilitate cross- functional teams through problem resolution and/or crisis management.
*

Ability to influence people inside and outside of the organization at all levels.
*

Strong problem solving and presentation skills
*

Bilingual (English and Spanish) desirable.
