RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Manages the day-to-day Quality Management functions for all VNSNY CHOICE products including assignment of tasks and supervision of Quality Improvement (QI) Specialists. Identifies opportunities for performance improvement initiatives for all products and integrates activities for all products to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Assists in the identification of QI project topics and coordinates and collaborates with staff on project management and achievement of goals. Assists with the development of methods and criteria for assessing, measuring and evaluating quality of care, care management services, regulatory compliance and performance of subcontractors to meet program objectives and contractual compliance. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for all products. Works under general direction.
Licensure: Valid driver's license or NYS Non-Driver photo ID card, may be required as determined by operational/regional needs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Science, Health Care, or a related field or the equivalent work experience required. Master's Degree in Health Care or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years experience in clinical quality improvement and measurement required. Minimum of three years supervisory experience required. Proficient in knowledge of health care delivery systems and patient care required. Effective oral/written communication, presentation skills required. Proficiency in the field of training and staff development preferred.
