Job Summary



Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and administration of a comprehensive program to ensure a safe and secure environment for all persons interacting within the Health System. Manages the services and staff of the Safety and Security department. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Conducts periodic on-site facility audits to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and all Federal, State and local regulatory agencies.

Qualifications


Bachelors degree in criminology or related field preferred
Three to five years experience in law enforcement and/or safety/security management required.
Minimum two years supervisory/management experience is required.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Possess valid North Carolina Operators license. Must be insurable and cleared to operate a motor vehicle by the Health System s insurance carrier.
Must have a clean criminal history certified by records check/investigation.
Must have ability to perform duties under stress and make equitable instantaneous decisions based on sound judgment.
Excellent leadership skills.
