Job Description
Position Summary: Manages the inside sales and order entry team responsible for inbound sales calls from consumers in new home sub-divisions and apartments, as well as order entry for direct sales, retail and internet based sales channels. Strong call center sales and operations experience, leadership, and process improvement skills needed.
Organizational Structure / Position reports to: Director, Sales
Direct Reports include: Inside Sales & Order Entry team
Primary Responsibilities/Tasks - Essential Functions
*Responsible for creating an environment that stimulates an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated sales work force, focused on continuous improvement of our sales processes for inbound sales, outbound sales, and order entry
*Meets established sales goals
*Develops and administers sales plans including identification of objectives and action programs to achieve overall business goals
*Responsible for selecting, training, and monitoring the performance of team members toward the successful accomplishment of department and/or system goals. Initiates corrective action when necessary.
*Develops call center models for staffing and resource allocation based on variable work-load
Additional System Requirements
*BA/BS degree in marketing/communications/business or equivalent
*3-5 years experience managing sales people in a Call Center or similar environment.
*Proficient order entry skills. Process improvement skills.
*Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of personnel.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Visio, Excel, Power Point). Requires excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, including ability to effectively prioritize assignments.
Financial Accountability:
*Contributes to development of an operating plan and budget
*Generally responsible for managing or coordinating expenses within a budget or part of a larger budget
Environment/Working Conditions:
*Working in an office environment with moderate noise level
Physical & Visual Requirements to Perform the Essential Job Functions:
*Sedentary work: Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently, or occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
*Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
*Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
*Visual acuity: required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
