Loews Hotels is seeking a Manager or Strategy, Planning and Analysis to join the team. S/He will work very closely with the VP Strategy and Planning (VP SP) to advance all objectives in the strategy and planning area and will be responsible for establishing and monitoring the systems that define, measure and track the Companys strategic initiatives (as defined by the Senior Leadership Team), as well as reporting on status updates. S/he will assist in integrating these strategic initiatives into the overall business planning process, as well as ensuring that the business planning calendar is updated and well communicated. This role will be integral in analyzing the Companys multi-year plan and reporting progress against this plan, as well as developing corporate presentations ranging from quarterly board presentations to the annual business plan presentation. More specific responsibilities include: Setting up templates to streamline the development of critical steps associated with strategic priorities Consolidating and analyzing critical steps and costs Monitoring progress of critical steps (budget and timeline comparisons) through regular check-ins with cross-functional leaders in the organization and utilizing project management software; closely monitor potential cost creep Assist in establishing benchmarks and outcome indicators for measuring progress of projects and returns on investment; monitor against these targets Analyzing progress and presenting summarized status to VP SP, including spending, timelines, dependencies Managing project management software Prepare presentations: Gather and consolidate information from internal contributors into one succinct and visually consistent power point presentation, told in one voice. Translate certain numeric information into charts and graphics. Contribute financial analyses and miscellaneous reporting as needed for these presentations. Receives and consolidates multi-year financial projections from all hotels Analyzes trends and forecasts; reports on major contributors to year over year changes Monitors progress of current year actual results and next year budgets against multi-year plan Coordinates updates of long range planning including forecast modeling Assists VP SP in updating the annual business planning calendar and monitoring progress of work streams against deliverable dates to ensure milestone targets are achieved Assists VP SP in enhancing the integration of strategic initiatives on the overall business planning process Develops intimate knowledge of dependencies and linkages across different areas in planning process to alert VP SP of trickle down issues arising from delays
