Job Description
Manager of Student Enrichment: Manage arts, cultural, academic, and special projects.
Program Development and Management: Develop, plan and manage all after-school, weekend, and summer student enrichment programs that promote youth development, leadership, arts, culture, diversity, academic rigor, and civic engagement. Develop and manage civic engagement projects within the University of Chicago community, Chicago Public, and externally connecting CSP students with opportunities for leadership, peer mentoring in the field of education. Manage all internal audience development and oversee the implementation of CSP special projects, programs, and events. Assist Director in the recruitment of summer and academic year faculty and interns. Recruit, hire, and manage summer arts and athletic instructors. Develop and administer academic courses and enrichment programs.
Administrative: Manage faculty and teaching assistants' orientation, course observations, orientation, correspondence, contracting, and troubleshooting. Manage quarterly UCCSP registration in the Autumn, Winter, and Summer. Oversee the development and distribution of correspondence for approximately 300 parents and students (i.e. quarterly course schedules and quarterly calendars). Serve as member of the UCCSP Admissions Working Group, Selection Committee and assist with recruitment of new students. Develop and manage student enrichment department budget. Assist the Manager of College Admissions and Advising in conducting individual student and parent consultations as needed. Identify, schedule, and coordinate space and manage logistics for classes, special events, and workshops. Create, administer, and analyze faculty course evaluations. Screen, hire, and supervise program coordinators, interns, and project leads, including: Summer Event Coordinator, Assistant Program Coordinator, Capacity Building Coordinator, Intramural Sports Coordinator, Youth Development Coordinator, and Interns (including Metcalf Intern).
Public Relations, Marketing, and Program Forecasting: Manage design/lay-out for internal program calendars and special event invitations. Network throughout arts, culture, education, non-profit, business, and collegiate communities to increase visibility of UCCSP through partnership with programs on and off campus.
