Position Description

Reporting to the Director of Planning, your role as Manager Supply Chain Optimization will be to develop and implement supply chain strategies and innovative solutions which support business growth, customer satisfaction, cost management, and overall supply chain objectives for product availability, delivery performance, forecast accuracy, Network Optimization and inventory. This position works closely with the Leadership Staff, other internal cross-functional partners, as well as external parties to implement new supply chain models.

A key and preliminary area of focus for this role is to develop and implement inventory strategies and models by working with external parties to reduce inventory investment. Subsequent areas of focus include, but are not limited to: developing new models for service (product availability, delivery performance and perfect order); planning systems, tools and analytics enhancement; and overall supply chain cost optimization, and improved manufacturing & converting efficiencies. More specifically, you will have to:

* Provide analysis of our manufacturing capacity and distribution network to optimally meet market demand from both the short term and strategic perspective using appropriate network modeling techniques.

* Working with Supply Chain leadership, establish and monitor KPI's which will reflect overall supply chain performance. These KPI's should indicate areas which need to be addressed and potential root causes for below target performance

* Provide analysis of our manufacturing capacity and distribution network to optimally meet market demand from both the short term and strategic perspective using appropriate network modeling techniques.

* Provide tools for Production Planning based on these models to support tactical decision making.

* Collaborate with sales and our customers to improve our extended supply chain

* Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, planning, transportation, distribution, and finance teams to deliver supply chain improvements that meet sales needs and reduce Supply Chain costs.

* Ability to work with Sales & Operations Planning Manager & Planning Manager to implement innovative solutions to minimize costs and maximize service in our manufacturing, converting, & distribution systems

* Develop and maintain tools to assist planning in the management of working capital. This will include establishing and reviewing deployment of inventory, targets for safety and cycle stock, and inventory movement and aging.

Position Requirements

* Master s Degree (prefer MBA, Industrial or Systems Engineering) or a minimum of 10 years related experience.

* Ability to lead, energize and influence change efforts at all levels of a complex, matrix organization with track record of delivering results

* Demonstrated ability to deliver both strategic and tactical results across diverse cultures from inception to completion.

* Strong financial analysis abilities

* Experience working with supply chain and fulfillment systems to define scope and drive cost and supply chain efficiencies.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

* Capable of thinking creatively, dealing with ambiguity, and managing changing priorities.

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

* Demonstrates a bias for action, and experience in making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Understanding of large, complex customer organizations and multiple distribution channels

* Ability to provide input to demand planning processes and brand plans

* Significant End-to-End supply chain experience

* Strong supply chain and business acumen, including experience with SIOP (S&OP)

* A proven creative thinker and a track record of delivering innovative customer business solutions

* Experience in building and presenting business cases in order to secure required executive approvals for critical tactical and strategic plan resources

* Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
