The Tax Manager will manage the Companys provisioning function and tax risk including the evaluation and documentation requirements required for recorded and unrecorded tax exposures, intercompany transactions and ensures that SOX controls are maintained. The Tax Manager participates in tax planning and other projects, evaluates options and makes recommendations as required and will contribute to components of the global tax compliance process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage quarterly and annual US GAAP basis tax provision under ASC 740
Manage forecasted tax rate for GAAP and ANI purposes
Prepare and monitor ASC 740 (APB23) documentation and analysis
Responsible for reviewing/documenting uncertain tax positions & significant tax attributes of the company
Work with Tax Director to ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance for tax processes
Participate in the preparation & documentation of tax footnotes and related disclosures
Provide audit support as required
Provide mergers and acquisitions support
Technical research and special projects as dictated by the needs of the business
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Accounting, Taxation or Business
Minimum 8-10 years tax experience
Broad working technical knowledge of corporate taxation including Federal, state and international experience
Strong understanding and experience with tax return and tax GAAP accounting processes
Significant experience with PC based application software,
Excellent interpersonal and team oriented skills including the ability to make presentations and interface with management.
Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally
Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
Self-motivated requiring minimum supervision
CPA and/or MST or JD
Minimum of 3 years public accounting experience preferred
Transfer pricing experience
Understanding of bank regulatory issues a plus
