JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE:

* Manage all tax systems and ensure improved efficiency and effectiveness of Tax Department processes by leveraging existing technology and identifying and implementing new technology as appropriate
* Manage all taxdata including the obtaining of data, handling of data through tax systems and analysis, the output of Income and Operating Tax data for compliance and financialreporting, warehousing of data for workflow, reference and data analytics, and for documentation of workflow/checklists to ensure SOX compliance, provide project management of large Tax Department projects
* Using data analytics tools, assist VP - Tax and the Tax Directors with risk assessments

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Identify taxtechnology needs, including initiatives for process improvements, automation, and application of tax process and technology best suited for the Company using existing technology and the implementation of new technology
* Serve as a liaison between IT, FP&A and Accounting departments to improve the Company's understanding of the taxinformation technology needs for both Income and Operating tax
* Represent Tax on all implementations of current and future technology initiatives. Serve as subject matter expert in all new IT tools, systems, and technologies in order to maintain and maximize their use within the Tax Department
* Develop, plan, and manage technology initiatives for the tax function, including all current and future technology changes, working with the IT department to design, develop, test, and implement new taxtechnology as needed. Manage project implementations and process improvements
* Manage systems resources to ensure efficient execution of projects
* Identify, plan for, and manage all tax data management and warehousing needs, including record retention and disclosure requirements, system controls ensuring adherence to Tax Department policy, internal audit requests, and SOX compliance
* Provide data analysis for income tax, transaction tax, and financialreporting items using data analytics tools
* Ensure Tax Department personnel have proper access rights to software applications, and ensure tax software applications and hardware is updated and configured to optimize performance of taxtechnology
* Develop and deliver end user training and maintain user documentation of all taxtechnology
* Maintain the tax legal entity book configurations and links between the financial systems and tax systems
* Provide project management expertise for large Tax Department initiative

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum requirements include a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Tax or Technology. Masters preferred
* Extensive experience in work environment dealing with large corporate tax affairs which may be in industry, Big 4 accounting firm or similar surroundings (at least 5-8years required with 8-12preferred)
* Preferred strong experience with OneSource tax applications, Sharepoint, HFM, and Excel
* Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and corporate taxlawrequired
* Well versed in financial information reporting systems such as JDE, Infinium, Oracle, and HFM as well as tax software packages, including OneSource
* Experience in data management and warehousing tools, techniques, and applications including SharePoint development and maintenance
* Ability to develop Hyperion Business Rules (HFM)
* Able to deliver results, often under tight deadlines
* Must be a solid team player and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment across functional areas. Instills trust necessary for teamwork through direct and truthful interactions
* Must be "customer driven" to provide accurate and timely results to Tax, IT, Finance and Accounting as necessary
* Is able to identify and create processes necessary to complete a specific assignment or goal
* Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as patience are required
* Is action oriented and takes the initiative, manages upward, able to multitask and maintain focus

* Position Requires Travel as necessary but less than 20%
