The Manager of Technical Operations provides critical evening and weekend technology support to all advanced technology areas of the School of Media & Communication (SMC). Areas include three TV Production Studios and accompanying Control Rooms, Audio Recording Suites, the Joe First Media Center, the Equipment Office, and emerging SMC technologies. This position trains production faculty and students on proper equipment use of studio and portable equipment. The Manager of Technical Operations will also setup, operate, and train students on custom A/V presentation installations throughout the school. This position requires the management of multiple equipment inventories and constant troubleshooting and escalation of technical issues to appropriate Technical Operations staff. In addition this position will support SMC classes, student organizations, and LIVE studio productions airing on Temple University Television (TUTV). Performs other duties as assigned.



Required Education & Experience:



Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.



Required Skills & Abilities:



* Knowledge of video streaming technologies and VoIP delivery solutions



* Excellent written and verbal communication skills



* Ability to work flexible schedule during evening and weekend production courses, special events, and TUTV productions.



Preferred:



* Prior experience with professional A/V distribution and routing systems



* Prior experience in a College / University environment
