The Data Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring proactive implementation of data quality standards and rules ensuring improved data quality and visibility/transparency of the data quality process. As data quality process subject matter expert, the Data Quality Lead will work closely with Enterprise Data Manager and Data Stewards/Owners to provide process and technical support on an as needed basis for data quality analysis, monitoring, and remediation to drive improved compliance

Primary Responsibilities

Establishes a Business Line Data Quality practice and create an enterprise Data Quality strategy and platforms, changing culture and behaviors around Data Quality and data management. Will also lead the adoption of Data Quality best practices and establish firm-wide measurement, incident management, and profiling capabilities as part of the Core Platforms and Data Architecture Sub-Committee.

Develops and motivates a team of data quality practitioners as direct and indirect reports.

Drives Business Line Data Quality; Data quality subject matter expert, providing quality monitoring and audit support for Enterprise Data Stewards or Data Stewardship Network; Defines and reports on data quality standards and metrics to Enterprise Information Management and FNB stakeholders; Leads effort for assessment of a Data Governance Workflow Tool/Proof of Concept.

Provides recommendations to the data owners, FNB Data Governance Councils and Master Data Management Centers of Excellence; Collaborates with IT, DM&G Architecture Sub-Committee and Application and Information Delivery solution teams to develop recommendations for procedural and system controls supported by suitable data architectural improvements.

Creates a road map to drive Data Quality and data management maturity by deploying enterprise-wide Data Quality services and methodologies; Establishes, communicates, and leads the adoption of Data Quality standards and best practices across FNB, influencing peers to adopt programs and projects to achieve efficiencies.

Incorporates an automated Data Quality capability combined with our data platforms, starting with Master Data Management; Co-Leads implementation of active data governance and data quality system controls together with Enterprise and/or other Business Line Data Owners/Stewards to increase efficiencies and mitigate risks.

Delivers Data Quality solutions and capabilities to Data Stewards/Owners; Leads the effort to create a continuous improvement culture among the Data Stewards/Owners; Collaborates with business and IT functions to perform root cause analysis and issue mitigation.

Interacts with business stakeholders and data communities of practice to understand business strategy, scenarios, gaps, issues, and needs to create relevant data strategies and Data Quality solutions that lead to positive business outcomes; Owns and manages data quality dashboards to ensure the following data quality dimensions: completeness, conformity, consistency, integrity and accuracy.
