Manufacturing Associate II, Esterline Control Systems

Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs production activities, which require a working knowledge of various processes, operations and machines. Sets up and operates production machinery and equipment for production operations and assists co-workers with these processes. The work covers duties such as setting up and operating production machinery (e.g. injection and/or compression presses, punch presses, drill presses, grinders, traub, fusion machine, vibrators, sandblast and die installing, tapping heads, etc.).
Primary Responsibilities


* Operates production machinery according to specifications and makes adjustments to machinery to correct problems or errors.

* Inspects work pieces.

* Fills out hr by hr boards and any other related documents.

* Cleans and lubricates production machinery.

* Uses judgment and initiative to solve problems.

* Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above

* Understand and live by Esterline s ethics and business conduct policies

Qualifications
Recognizes quality and/or efficiency issues and recommends corrective action.

* Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete tasks. Uses judgment and initiative to solve problems.

* Must possess ability to read and interpret blueprints.

* Requires ability to operate punch presses, drill presses, air presses, cutting machines, perform deburring operations, etc.

* Must be able to use precision tools and gauges.

* Receives general instructions on assignments and is able to provide guidance to other employees.

* Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
High school education or general education degree (GED), two to four years production experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
