PACCAR Winch
The brands that comprise PACCAR Winch Division include Braden, Carco, and Gearmatic.
Braden's history began in 1924 with the Braden Steel Corporation located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Braden originally supplied equipment for the oil fields that included drive heads for popping shallow wells. Glenn Braden's close involvement with oil production and the automobile entering the American industrial age coincided in 1927 where he introduced the first Braden truck mounted winch designed for unloading and positioning loads in the oil fields. We currently have an opportunity for an Manufacturing Engineer in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
JOB SUMMARYEvaluates, recommends, and implements improvements in the areas of machining processes, facilities, production processes, production efficiency and other areas of manufacturing costs that support the objectives outlined by Supervision.
DUTIES
1. Investigate, propose, and implement improvements to the facility, equipment, and processes to improve quality, optimize process flow, increase productivity, and reduce cost.
2. Identifies projects, generates cost estimates, justifies projects for inclusion in proposed capital and expense budgets. Projects include implementation, budgeting, and schedule planning to complete the project on time and in budget.
3. Improve safety and ergonomic practice.
4. Provide daily problem resolution support for production operations.
5. Determines and balances operations manning with production schedules, develops standard operation times, conducts various studies.
6. Develops procedures and plan arrangements to ensure proper material handling and storage.
7. Assist with manufacturing process development for new products with direct customer and supplier contact.
8. Design and procure production tooling and fixtures to include preparation of drawings, specs. and bid generations and evaluation.
9. Plan and manage facility upgrades, supervise outside contractors, solicit proposals and bids, maintain schedules and define project scope.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSB. S. Degree in Engineering and strong PC skills
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Three to five years experience in a machine shop environment with metal processes and CNC equipment. Thorough knowledge of CAD and/or Pro-E based system, ESPRIT, and Six Sigma/Lean experience a plus.
