Job Description

Adecco is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire Position. Role Purpose: The Manufacturing Engineer, through engineering projects, directly supports the production unit by leading change over time reduction, continuous improvement efforts, capital project management and cost reduction. Role focus includes performing all necessary manufacturing engineering tasks needed to support the production cells with a focus on capital project management, continuous improvement activities, determining and implementing process improvements and lean enabler implementation.

Responsibilities:
- Use Key Performance Indicators to drive corrective actions with production cells with focus on Safety Quality Delivery and Cost
- Develop tooling and techniques to continuously reduce the time and effort involved in setting up and changing over operations of manufacturing equipment
- Achieve financial objectives by assisting in the preparation of the budget as well as scheduling expenditures and managing project budgets
- Updates and maintains equipment drawings for production and equipment including layouts
- Develop engineering solutions for repetitive equipment and process failures using LTA data to drive continuous improvement in the production cells
- Assist in identification of departmental training requirements and may provide the training for improvement of skill levels
- Identify and request key maintenance and tooling spares
- Manage outside contractors involved in process and equipment improvement
- Respond quickly to manufacturing difficulties, troubleshoot potential causes and coordinate activities of support personnel as required
- Lead Kaizen activities and document results
- Knows significant environmental aspects of the job and the related operational controls
- Modify manufacturing processes for safety improvement as well as quality improvement and cost reduction or design changes
- Work closely with all levels of the organization to improve manufacturing machinery and processes


Requirements:Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering preferred) with 3-5 years of experience in a high volume-manufacturing environment

Experience with the following processes: turning, milling, grinding (OD and ID), spline rolling, induction heating, inspection with vision

Experience with the following machine brands would be ideal: Okuma, Mazak, Michigan Roto-Flow or Anderson Cook, Haas (lathes/mills)

Experience with the following machine control types: Fanuc and Mazatrol

Experience with CNC programming (G&M codes) of mills and lathes, AutoCAD LT, and all Microsoft apps

Experience with high volume manufacturing utilizing automation (Motoman robots is ideal)

Understanding of PFMEA's, SPC, Lean manufacturing

Tool/Gage/Poke Yoke design experience a plus, Experience with servo systems, knowledge of Safety Systems, Machine Guarding/Safety Standards.

CAD Proficiency --AutoCad minimum, Pro-Engineer is a plus.
