Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls has an opening for a Manufacturing & Engineering (IT) Systems Administrator. This is a Division position that is located at the Charleston, TN plant. The IT Systems Administrator coordinates planning and execution of tasks associated with maintenance, support and enhancement of one or more of the Manufacturing & Engineering (M&E) Applications in-use across Olin. Provides support to the end-user to install, tune, and use the application(s); provides troubleshooting and non-standard maintenance of data servers, user devices, systems, applications and communications links, as necessary, to ensure stability, integrity and efficient operation of the in-house M&E Information Systems.

Essential Functions/Basic Duties:

* Analyzes, customizes and modifies M&E applications

* Defines implementation plans with vendors, System Integrators, developers and end-users

* Organizes new working processes and coaches the end-user

* Identifies structural weaknesses in the use of M&E applications and prepares changes in design or tuning

* Troubleshoots M&E application related computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion

* Provides support and input on needs for resources and timing of critical issues

* Coordinates M&E application related efforts with the team and application users

* Stays informed on the critical issues to address from application user group and helps to define the required timing for resolution of critical issues

* Supports enhancements to current processes

* Supports input and guidance for accurate and helpful training for the user community for enhancements, upgrades and other changes to the current process

* Provides input for developing and maintaining training documentation for application users

* Provides excellent customer service and feedback on the status of issues

* Maintains contact and working relationship with M&E business process owners in order to facilitate needed improvements in processes and procedures

Essential Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree*; Information Systems or technical degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Process Automation disciplines strongly preferred

* Minimum 5 years related information systems and/or manufacturing systems experience

* Progressive experience in several areas of M&E information technology/operational technology with a focus on application support and hardware development

* Overseeing the design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems or products

* Demonstrated working knowledge of M&E applications that support business operations in one or more of the following areas, Process Control, Process Automation, Process Safety, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Quality, and Risk Management

* Advanced troubleshooting skills in one or more M&E applications

* Technical / Programming Skills

* Strong customer service and project management skills

* Written and oral communication skills

* Attention to detail, self-motivated and directed

* Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products and required

* Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

* Ability to work in team oriented, collaborative environment

* Demonstration of analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)


Demonstrated working knowledge of one or more of the following:

* Network and PC Operating systems

* Current network hardware, protocols and standards

* Programmable Logic Controllers

* Distributed Control Systems

* Process Historians

* EHS Systems

Demonstrated working knowledge of one or more of the following:

* Microsoft Office


* Documentum

* AspenTech

* OSISoft PI


* Emmerson Delta V

* Siemens SIMATIC IT PCS 7

* Dakota

* ShiftConnector

* Primavera P6

* SampleManager

* SmartPlant

Preferred Skills:

* Manufacturing/engineering background

* Industry related certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL)

* Demonstrated working knowledge of MES System applications, LIMS applications and related cyber security issues and methodologies

* Demonstrated working knowledge of integrations and interfaces within and extending from a MES layer

* Knowledge of IT/OT intersection
