Manufacturing Quality and Inspection Tech - Part Time

Job Advertised by Pharmadiversity Job Board - The Quality Assurance Inspector will perform various levels of Quality Assurance Inspection activities including sub-assembly and assembly inspection, process verification and in-process inspection, receiving and/or incoming inspection; and may be trained to perform final inspection and acceptance, product acceptance test activities and other Quality Assurance activities as determined by their manager. Verify departmental and organizational compliance to documented processes and procedures through the continuous observation of activities performed throughout the workplace. (e.g. verify current versions of documentation are used to perform operations, verify tools and equipment are approved, controlled and calibrated if required, new employees are properly trained and visitors conform to safety and cleanliness procedures). Verify product and process conformance to requirements through the use of documented inspection methods and processes. Document or record product and process non-conformances in accordance with documented processes. Review, investigate, and resolve / close non-conformances in accordance with documented procedures. Maintain traceability of required information through established paper-based or electronic systems. Perform receiving inspection activities that include but are not limited to data entry, specification review, comparison of incoming parts to conformance requirements (i.e. Inspection Plans), physical and visual inspection and/or measurement of critical attributes through the use of tools, technology or inspection aids. Performs electrical or mechanical dimensional inspection on incoming components and assemblies in accordance with documented Inspection Plans and/or Engineering documentation. Other inspection related activities as defined by the departmental manager. Discard or reject products, material and equipment not meeting specifications Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations and work for conformance to specifications Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions Verify conformance to specifications and protocols and report outcomes Identify urgent items requiring prioritized inspections Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status Comply with EHS regulations & policies Quality Specific Goals: Knowledge and understanding of acceptance activity requirements for incoming, in-process, and final inspection requirements (as associated with job type/position) to ensure that a device conforms to its specification and out of specification items are properly handled.
