Manufacturing Shift Supervisor, Production Supervisor, covering the EPI, Epitaxy, epitaxial and WLP (wafer level packaging or bump) fab employees. Since it is a new position I am sure there will be some tweaking along the way. The initial expectation is that the new Supervisor be available to overlap the four shifts (24/7/365). Our thoughts are the hours would fall somewhere between 7am - 7pm Monday thru Friday, again, this may be tweaked along the way. This is the one Supervisor position that will not be directly tied to any one shift but rather managing them all. There are approximately 32 employees that will be assigned to this role initially with 5 leads. I would like to note that 3 out of our 4 Production Supervisor currently commute back to their primary residence, typically monthly and all of the Supervisor and the current Manager have all been relocations so they understand commuting. While 2 (including the manager) have made the move permanent, the other 3 have underlying factors that don't make a permanent relocation a viable option at this time. I am open in discussing these aspects of this position further.

This position is responsible for achieving company objectives, ensuring a safe, productive environment, and managing costs to deliver a high quality product. Also, the shift supervisor is responsible for supervising the production personnel during a regular shift through coaching and mentoring.

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
Greater than one year of proven leadership experience including direct supervision of staff in a manufacturing environment with excellence in safety, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Excellent organizational skills, solid communication skills, strong problem solving and well developed analytic skills, to effectively flow down goals from the manager into measurable tasks to employee levels.
EXPERIENCE AS A PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR OR LEAD OPERATOR IN A SIMILAR ROLE IN THE SEMICONDUCTOR INDUSTRY IN A WAFER FAB FACILITY.

Position Responsibilities

Plan, execute and monitor day-to-day manufacturing activities to meet desired goals.
Report performance and analyze data to identify potential problems and issues; assume ownership of the problem solving process and develop sound plans and corrective actions to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
Drive continuous improvement on key process metrics, work-in-progress (WIP), aged inventory and overall scrap levels.
Direct employees for the appropriate shift in the production of high quality wafers per weekly and monthly requirements.
Assure that shop instructions, preventive maintenance, WIP tracking, SPC and calibration procedures are followed completely and accurately.
Be responsible for ensuring that proper training, re-training, cross-training and new job assignments occur to match the needs of the business.
Provide input to the management on staffing needs and/or movement of personnel.
Document employee's performance. Make input to employees performance appraisals at the agreed upon interval.
Verify that each employee's pay card is accurate each week and keep records regarding starting and stopping times, breaks, and lunches. Monitor and schedule vacation, holidays, sick time and overtime.
Help provide security to all Fab premises within factory and help to instill a clean, neat, safe and orderly work place.
Verify that all employees are following all safety and clean room procedures.
