ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical:
* Studies production schedules and estimates work hours requirements for completion of job assignment
* Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
* Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems
* Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
* Makes recommendations and assists in the implementation of process improvements in the areas of productivity, quality and cost reduction
* Maintains and supports processes used to manage the operation (work/wait boards, kanban cards, etc.)
* Maintains compliance to ISO standards
Non-technical:
* Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals
* Coordinates cross-training of employees to develop a multi-skilled and flexible workforce
* Interpret company policies and Labor Contract to employees and enforces safety regulations
* Resolves employee grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Process Owner for action
* Maintains time and attendance records for employees
* Communicates with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
* Evaluates employees job performance and provides continuous feedback
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises between 7 and 20 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. ...
