Performing HM&E Systems engineering, design, and technical support to the DDG 1000 Class Shipbuilding Program.
Reviewing work items for technical accuracy, developing technical solutions to hull unique and Class issues, and preparing engineering scope packages for shipyard installation and repair jobs.
Reviewing design drawings, changes, ship specifications, CDRLs, and verifying that equipment installations and drawings are in accordance with contract requirements.
Performing technical assessments, evaluating, and advising the government on equipment and system problems associated with repair availability tests and trials.
Analyzing and incorporating lessons learned from ship construction experience and previous availability installations into future work items.

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable discipline and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent and additional years experience in lieu of degree.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in an industrial environment.
Secret security clearance.


Marine/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree.
Planning Yard and/or Post-Delivery experience.
