The market manager plays a key support role within the Category Management organization. The position is designed to assist the Life Science Category Managers and the entire Life Science Team with analysis and implementation of strategies that support the expansion of the VWR's Life Science business with key suppliers and customers. Position will have the following primary functions:
conducting data analysis, managing the category's supplier on-boarding process via internal Toll Gate Process, executing product additions/deletions, managing the category's pricing process with suppliers, as well as fulfilling ad-hoc requests for information, data and analysis as required. Job Responsibilities:

Project Management
- Drive On-Boarding of Life Science Suppliers/Products:
Manage all aspects of the supplier on-boarding process to include:
managing internal meetings, assisting with financial modeling, working with the Category Managers to implement customer specific pricing strategies, coordinating with VWR e-business team, Marcomm, Operations, Content, Purchasing and Finance to ensure appropriate integration with suppliers are enabled as well as providing supporting data analysis and competitive cross reference tables. Maintain new supplier candidate profiles in Salesforce.com
- Manage Product Addition / Discontinuation Process:
Coordinate closely with suppliers and internal contacts to ensure process for product additions and discontinuation is followed and that sales team and operations are prepared for substitution when such options exist
