Position is responsible for managing field logistics services (including delivery and installation) to customers in a designated market area for products purchased across various retailers and commercial businesses, including those operating within Sears Holdings, and through various sales channels, including brick and mortar and online. Product may originate from the Sears Market Delivery Operation (MDO), Sears Store Delivery Operation (SDO), other Sears Facilities (Stores), or a local Third Party facility (other Retail Store/Warehouse) and ownership continues until a satisfied completed delivery and/or install at customers' homes. This individual has P&L responsibility for an average of $4 million in revenue and $600 thousand in EBITDA, from managing between 45,000 to 60,000 deliveries and installs annually. The local organization typically averages 15 associates. This individual is responsible for leading the critical thinking initiatives and the problem solving thought process. Critical to success is the ability to drive performance and proadvocacy through direct relations with an average of 10 individual installer firms and direct relationships through a local carrier manager with an average of 10 delivery teams. The individual is directly accountable for the inventory sold through Sears and Third Party clients until the completed delivery and/or installation at the end consumer location. The field logistics manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining disciplined, highly motivated delivery and installation teams focused on quality control standards and service that exceeds our customers' expectations. In addition, the field logistics manager will build a strong team partnership with the retail district staff, stores, account management and other formats and clients, with regular communication and improvement discussions.Job Responsibilities: *Responsible for delivery carrier performance (including delivery carrier and alternative local store carrier). *Manage the customer installation experience by setting appropriate expectations with contractors by holding them accountable for execution of the work order according to Sears or third party guidelines. *Reviews critical to quality metrics framed in the customer perspective and develops plans to improve satisfaction levels *Responsible for managing delivery and installation capacities within their delivery area. *Build and maintain relationships with business partners, including retail district staff, stores, Account Managers and other formats/clients. *Primary point of contact with the CCN Customer Service Network *Attend and assist in conducting One Sears meetings with the Account Manager and the district staff and stores 'quarterly'. *Interact and work effectively with other functions within Home Services and the facility to achieve business and performance objectives. (HR, Loss Prevention, Finance). *Real Estate contact, accountable for space requirements and assisting real estate in finding tenants. *General understanding of the flow and mechanics of distribution operation. *Responsible for development and execution of activities that drive site and overall business profitability. *Knowledge in budgeting and ongoing management of financial statements. *Basic knowledge of 3rd party logistics relationships *Knowledge of Federal, State and local OSHA/EPA safety requirements *Knowledge of human resources policies and practices *Interacts with Account Manager and Provider Administration to access market requirements and manage contractor capacity. *Works with Account Manager to grow installation and delivery markets by representing contractor workforce capabilities. *Communicates delivery and installation successes and opportunities regularly with the account manager to work with the retail stores to improve the customer experience and first time solutions. *Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned Specific Essential Functions: *Ability to read, write and speak English. *Ability to travel occasionally with some overnight stays. *Extensive knowledge of home delivery and installation operations and processes. *Proficient in use of Excel, Outlook, Service Live, Service Bench, and a general working knowledge of DOS system. *Basic knowledge of Inventory Management Systems. *General understanding and knowledge of reports available. *Ability to lead others to deliver business results *Internal development training - all associates. *Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment *Ability to work with minimal supervision *Possess effective problem resolution skills *Knowledge of financial statements and plans *Customer orientation skills *Change leadership skills *Team orientation skills *Effective communication skills, including facilitator and arbitrator skills *Business knowledge/literacy *Initiative/sense of urgency *Integrity *Valuing diversity *Empowerment Experience/Education/Certification Requirements: *Bachelors Level Degree *Experience with managing 3PL's preferred. *Computer skills (i.e., Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Savvy).Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet.
