JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY This Marketing Assistant Position Features:
General Summary of Position: Assists with projects and activities for marketing products or services by performing the following duties.
' Assists in executing marketing strategies and objectives.
' Assists in proposal writing and presentations.
' Maintains marketing server including project narratives, resumes and awards.
' Coordinates various marketing fulfillment duties and systems including direct mail, electronic SOQ's, packages, letters, and other sales literature.
' Assists with advertising and creation, editing, proofreading.
' Assists in implementing public relations programs, and trade shows.
' Assists with convention sponsorships, exhibiting and handouts.
' Coordinates involvement in community organizations and events, including speech writing assistance.
' Assists with ad contracts and placement.
' Requests customer surveys to obtain performance evaluations about organization projects.
' Responsible for daily management of bid/proposal list to meet non-negotiable submission deadlines by date and hour.
' Responsible for assignment of resources for request for proposals, task order proposals, sources sought and resumes.
' Supervises Business Development Manager and Marketing Assistant personnel.
' Responsible for layout of preliminary task order proposal response for projects valued at $1M to 5M dollars, and contract proposal responses for programs valued at $49.5M to $300M.
' Responsible for decision-making regarding projects to use in proposals, soliciting Architect/Engineering team members, proposal delivery method, coordinating with estimation on price proposal and schedule development.
' Managing subject matter experts for technical approach, bid estimates, schedules and basis of design.
' In the absence of VP of Marketing, fields all inbound marketing phone calls and take action on required response.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills/Software: Exhibit competency in the following software programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Master builder, and Outlook. Understand server hierarchy and adhere to current company standards.
Work Environment: Current work environment includes cubicle work space in an upscale casual office setting.
