Objective:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting development and maintaining marketing strategies through social media and special marketing projects designed to generate new business and increase revenue. This position will report to the Communications and Marketing Manager.



Essential Functions and Primary Duties

*

Assists in formulating social media strategies tailored to market needs
*

Create content for multiple social media platforms
*

Compile reports showing results (ROI)
*

Manages department s marketing materials and promotional items inventory
*

Assists with intranet content management
*

Partners with local KC Sales Support and Marketing Specialist on projects, including sales support for local producers and local community outreach
*

Assists with local and national event planning and management
*

Assists with creation and distribution of deliverables (flyers, brochures, etc.)
*

Conducts market and industry research in support of sales team and acquisition efforts
*

Provides admin support for team



Qualifications

*

At least two years of general business experience working in a professional or corporate environment is preferred
*

Proficient with social media platforms
*

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop & InDesign) and other graphic design programs is a plus
*

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of software tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
*

Exceptional skill in writing, copyediting and proofreading.
*

Highly skilled in research practices and instinctively knows where to access information online
*

A self-starter - proactive versus reactive in style
*

Attention to detail
*

Able to effectively managing projects by possessing a sense of urgency and use of best practices in meeting project deadlines
*

Strong professional interpersonal skills
*

Proven ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while working independently and as part of a team



Minimum Qualifications

*

High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor s degree preferred in Public Relations, Communications, Advertising, or Marketing
*

Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
*

Proficient use of applicable technology
*

Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
