The open position will support the marketing efforts for a launch brand in the Respiratory franchise, with a focus on consumer marketing. The Marketing Leader is contributes to the development of the brand strategy with a specific focus on a patient-centric marketing that engages and motivates our consumers to action. br Job Headlines: br * The Marketing Leader contributes to the development of strategic plans to maximize the value of AstraZeneca's Respiratory pipeline. br * Responsibilities include input into the development of all aspects of the brand strategy, with specific focus on consumer marketing including opportunity assessment, positioning, and launch planning. br * Identifies and deploys integrated multi-channel marketing mix that leverages both novel and traditional channels to reach our customers and retain them for the long term br * Partners with cross-functional partners to craft and execute Brand Strategy, relating to: br o Market Research/Insight and analytics br o Brand positioning and messaging br o Integrated launch plans br o Forecasting and P&L development br * Establish strong alliance with US Medical, Regulatory and Payer partners, providing input to cross-functional planning and programs br * Work effectively to build patient programs and incorporating brand messaging across all stakeholder groups br * Responsible for leading defined work streams and brand opportunities as defined by Senior Director, with accountability for end product. br The Leader will work with the Marketing Director on the following areas of brand strategic planning: br * Portfolio Strategy and Prioritization -- Portfolio and product opportunity analysis br * Opportunity assessments -- Use analytical data sources and an understanding of market dynamics to make strong investment decisions to accelerate launch trajectory br * Product Strategy Development -- Input to Product Strategic Plan, based on clear customer insights and robust market analysis br * Business Policy and Compliance -- Understand how to operate and adhere to policy within the regulatory environment with the goal of maximizing product opportunity. br * Customer Insight -- Gather insights on consumer/patient behavior that lead to opportunities for creating competitive advantage and support the needs of our patients in a meaningful way br * Key Performance Indicators - Analyze and interpret brand opportunities on key performance indicators and providing insightful tactics on how to maximize KPIs in launch preparation br * Project Management - Organize people, activities, communication & resources around a common goal and to achieve business objectives in a timely manner br * Advocacy Management -- Create sustainable, long-term relationships with thought leader advocates and patient advocacy groups and develop a thought leader influence map. br * Vendor/Agency Management - Manage relationships with agencies, consultants, and other third party groups to maximize the product opportunity. br The Marketing Leader will be accountable for demonstrating the following key leadership capabilities: br * Provide Clarity About Strategic Direction -- Develops a vision of the future, answering "why" and "what." br * Ensures Commitment -- Builds commitment among internal and external stakeholders br * Focuses on Delivery -- Takes responsibility for decisions, results, and creates an action-oriented environment br * Builds Relationships -- Works on the premise that nothing gets done alone, capable of delivering tough messages and yet maintaining positive relationships br * Builds Self-Awareness -- Knows and understands oneself, and demonstrates awareness of effect of behaviors, needs, and motives on other people br * Demonstrates Learning Capability -- Learns quickly from different experiences, is a confident problem-solver, is solutions-oriented without being constrained by process or precedent. br * Develops People -- Fosters development of marketing skills set among marketing managers and peers, builds employee capability to improve current and future productivity. br * Demonstrates Personal Conviction -- Communicates belief and commitment through everyday actions br br
