Surgical Robotics Start-Up Doubling in Size This Year, Adding Marketing Expert to Help Build the Marketing Team.

The Marketing Manager / Senior Manager will be responsible for upstream product planning and downstream marketing on a global basis. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, you will identify user needs and product requirements, develop product plans, and effectively launch products and new surgical indications to achieve business objectives. This is a broadly defined marketing assignment that will require a range of skills and expertise, and the willingness to "wear many hats."

Upstream duties include understanding and representing the Voice of the Customer with internal product development teams, defining target product profiles and helping to develop the product road map. You will interact with Key Opinion Leaders in the surgical market on a routine basis, and spend time observing surgeries and interacting with Operating Room personnel. You will also plan and execute the downstream marketing program, including supporting the sales team, planning and running Advisory Boards, market research, competitive intelligence and forecasting.

As the point person for lifecycle planning and customer-facing activities, you will lead the development of surgical videos, and coordinate peer-to-peer selling programs. You will also work closely with colleagues in Training and Marketing Communications to develop education material and marketing collateral. The Manager will also identify reimbursement and economic training needs of employees, physicians, and hospital personnel to drive product adoption. Overnight travel is estimated at 25%.


* 7+ years in surgical product marketing, sales or clinical operating room experience

* 3+ years of marketingexperience specifically working with surgical instruments used in soft-tissue surgery

* Product launch experience

* Bachelor's degree or better; MBA preferred
