* This is an Individual Contributor Position Print Customer and Marketing Insights is a passionate team that drives the business with robust insights about our customers, markets, and competitors. Our team collaborates closely with our business partners and offers a consultative approach to solving the most strategic business questions with customer insights.We are seeking a mid-level account planner with ad agency experience to become a key member of our team. This individual knows what a good creative brief is and can translate findings into insights that are crisp and compelling.This individual will work with marketing and the business unit to build deep insights into actionable recommendations supporting the print marketing head. This position will focus on consumer and commercial print marketing. This industry is going through rapid change and is fast-paced. The ideal candidate will have advertising agency experience and be able to effectively work with high level executives. This individual is intellectually curious, analytical, impact driven, persistent, not shy about sharing opinions and recommendations, and passionate about developing self and career.Specific responsibilities include:* Translate data and key findings into insights that drive campaign briefs, creative development, and world-class media* Design, execute, and deliver key primary marketing research programs and manage marketing research vendor relationships* Manage creative concept development and copy testing* Build a deep understanding of business group priorities and drivers as a means to provide action-oriented insights and recommendations* Collaborate across the pan-HP Customer and Market Insights group to bring forth all the resources the research team can offer* Partner with print product insights to seamlessly transition projects* Provide competitive insights, intelligence and recommendations to influence go-to-market planning and strategic marketing plan development and decisions* Develop actionable marketing recommendations and insights to support strategic planning* Synchronize external and internal requirements in order to make recommendations in support of strategy plan developmentExperience in creative development either from corporate or agency side 1. Expert knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics, and tools2. Expert knowledge of how to create and manage the execution of marketing research projects, generate customer and market insights, and tie these insights to actionable business recommendations3. Foundational knowledge of research vendor management, agency practices, and procedures4. Foundational knowledge of research methodologies/ practices5. Ability to manage complex situations that involve multiple market segments/product offerings6. Excellent written and oral communications skills7. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build, manage, and influence virtual teams8. Excellent negotiating skills9. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines 10. Excellent influencing, consensus-building and conflict-resolution skills 11. Consultative skills to define key internal stakeholder needs and questions 12. Tolerance for ambiguity and multiple overlapping deadlines 13.
