Identify and pursue strategic long term growth opportunities for the Industrial Business Unit.
Travel would be nationally by plane or car 60%-70%. Travel would be to trade shows, industry conventions, potential new customers to research key market drivers and identify new opportunities.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING
Research and identify the fundamental drivers of the business, potential customers and the surrounding market
Attend industry functions and events to gather information and feedback on market trends
Present to and consult with senior level management on business trends to develop new products and saleschannels
Assess the potential of opportunities to create long term value and determine pathway to pursuit and capture
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators
Penetrate newly identified markets by identifying specific players in the market, decision makers and uncovering unmet needs while demonstrating value of IBU to fulfill these needs
Build and leverage relationships in order to facilitate new opportunities for the IBU
Work with Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities for value-added engineering which are compatible with the strategic plan.
Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's systems
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;
7-10 years related experience
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and systems, industrialengineering, product development, forecasting, customer relations, project management and marketing methods.
High degree of business acumen and market analytics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
Ability to effectively and efficiently research, prospect and network
Knowledge of MS Office, and SAP
HOW WILL I BE COMPENSATED
BASE SALARY $110K + 20% OF BASE QUARTERLY BONUS + CAR REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM + FULL MEDICAL.
