JOB DESCRIPTION

Superior Group is actively seeking for a Material Handler for our client located in Coppell, TX 75019 for a contract opportunity.

Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour

Duration: 3 months

Hours: 1st shift; 7:00am to 4:00pm

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
The Material Handler will be responsible for handling materials to maximize preparation and effective delivery and inventoried receipt of materials.


Ability to perform tasks associated with the receipt, storage, shipment and fabrication of product and materials :



Picking / packing / shipping of order / cycle count material
unload / load trailers
Complete transactions related to In/Out-bound process
Support Shipping and Receiving Department, monitoring material and supply inventory
Plan, organize and monitor the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received from vendors
Assists with ship confirms and freight carrier scheduling as required. Perform additional customer service requirements as necessary.
Perform accurate and timely physical counts related to warehouse productivity and inventory.
Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements and maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment by supporting, following and supporting SOP’s.
Assist the Inside Sales Team with research or orders, follow-ups on hot orders by making proper phone call to carriers and checking systems to confirm order status.
Perform daily orders and shipments
Stages the material in pickup are for freight carriers, coordinated by destination and freight carrier.
Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Assist with training and developing other personnel / team members with new tasks
Adhere to and enforce basic housekeeping standards, safe operating procedures; e.g. OSHA, PPE, etc. and basic building maintenance

Required Skills / Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Forklift certified or have the ability to become a certified forklift operator within 3 months.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
Willingness to be used in other areas of warehouse, as management requires.
Assertive and goal-oriented
Positive, high energy and enthusiastic with an eagerness to learn and grow

Ability to work in a team environment
