JOB DESCRIPTION:Is expected to abide by all plant safety and 5S policies and procedures.Must follow all personal protective equipment requirements while in the manufacturing area.Responsible for accurately counting, identifying and moving materials and supplies throughout the warehouse and plant. Must ensure inventory accuracy at all times.Responsible for all areas of materials flow including but not limited to: picking parts, stock returns (PPS), outside processing, consolidation, finished goods supermarket, UPS, WIP route.Perform ancillary warehousing tasks, including but not limited to: line side storage, cycle counting, move tickets.Moves material from one location to another based on KanBan cards or min. / max levels. Ensure material is properly identified and is moved to the appropriate location.Must have the ability to stay on time according to route schedule in order to meet customer expectations.Replenish operating supplies such as cardboard, O-rings, etc. to cells and moves empty pans, pan liners, excess packaging and other materials to their proper location.Must be able to understand and follow departmental standard work.Must be able to use a computer and the stock locator system.Must be able to operate all materials handling equipment. Accountable for process evaluation, measurement, documentation and improvement on a continuous basis.Participate in department projects and/ or activities such as Safety Teams, TIB, HPT or Kaizen Events.Must be willing to back up receiving materials handling process and other assembly cells.Perform any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager or Leader.Must promote teamwork and foster professionalism with all associates, internal and external customers.
Previous similar experience desirable. Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Must be Unites States Citizen or Permanent ResidentRequires the use of simple arithmetic.Must have the ability to move and lift material, 30 pounds repeatedly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.Must be able to use simple measuring instruments such as scale and caliper.Forklift or equivalent equipment background.Good communication skills, high degree of initiative, and a work record which has demonstrated good interpersonal and teamwork skills.Must be able to perform considerable physically work and stand for long periods of time.
