JOB DESCRIPTIONMaintains clean and safe work environment including 6S adherence and follow-through to ensure completion of action plans.
2. Ensures quality products are made on time.
3. Assigns, schedules, directs, trains, and audits staff to ensure labor efficiency goals are met.
4. Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team building skills to support site objectives.
Collaborates with other support groups, particularly Quality and Maintenance to insure consistent product quality, productivity and safety.
Assists the Process Technician with technical assignments.
Makes operator assignments, assess operators needs, and follow up to ensure compliance.
Insures all aspects of production are on a par with the Bill of Material (BOM) and communicates and corrects discrepancies.
Reviews tool book data and submit change request forms as needed.
Insures shift tie-in is performed correctly.
Makes equipment assignments and monitors equipment usage to setup.
Controls and maintains supplies.
Drives continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems that optimize all phases of the manufacturing process and supports key business objectives.
Schedules activities for operators, auditors and technicians.
Resolves and maintains documentation of production issues.
The machine operator is responsible for effectively and efficiently communicating, prioritizing, and completing activities and production issues in the manufacturing/ molding department. Work as directed in accordance with company policies and procedures. Keep product running through machine while maintaining quality. Drive continuous improvement activities in all areas/processes of the work environment that promote safety, quality, housekeeping and efficient.
Previous material handling experience preferred.
Work 1st shift from 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs frequently and 50lbs occasionally.
Basic written and verbal communication skills with ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret work orders.
Has training in and demonstrated experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending.
Ability to climb and descend stairs.
Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levels.
Use tools that require fine hand skills.
Visually observe and differentiate small moving parts.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment.
May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.
Attendance is a critical function of this position.
