JOB DESCRIPTION

Stores, issues, delivers, receives, and maintains inventories on production and/or service department with raw stock, parts, work-in-process, finished goods, tools and supplies. Supplies cages and pallets to presses. Makes boxes and supplies cardboard flats as needed. Transfer released orders to shipping and receiving and may operate dump station. Ensures accuracy and quality of parts being transported. May work on any of seven shifts: Daytime, afternoon/evenings, nighttime and overtime may be required.

Material Handler has a broad set of job and performance responsibilities with the qualification and independence to operate efficiently and safely with minimal supervisory input.

May handle plant waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous, in a manner which will insure compliance with local, Nebraska Department of Environmental Control (NDEC), and EPA regulations. Hazardous waste handling may include any of the following: Drying wastes, containerizing waste, moving waste in-plant, and offering wastes for shipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES



* Operate a forklift, overhead lift (hoist) and other material handling equipment and successfully pass standardized exams for operator certification.

* Ability to operate scales and shrink wrap machine.

* Ability to use a computer to release parts, complete dock tickets, stamping tollgate and signing off.

* Make boxes utilizing an automatic box former.

* Operate a dump station which transfers completed parts from a cage to boxes.

* Correctly identify materials and accurately capture product for delivery to ensure appropriate material is supplied.

* Maintain a pace sufficient to keep presses and trucks operating smoothly.

* Ability to read, write and count to accurately capture inventory.

* Ability to understand and follow procedures.

* Ability to work safely, communicate effectively with supervisors and technical personnel, use good judgment and work well with others.

* Ability to cope with stressful situations, follow policies and procedures, solve problems, and maintain full commitment to the task.

* Utilize good time management skills and multitask with minimal supervision.

* Must wear safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toed shoes during working hours.

* Maintains regular attendance in accordance with the current Attendance Policy.
