The Materials Management MFG Systems Manager is a key leader supporting the business functions within Materials Management (Planning, Warehousing, Supplier Relationship, MPS), and Manufacturing users of the SAP system including SAP mobile devices. This individual is responsible for optimizing proactively and measuring the SAP system strategy, and leading the prioritization of SAP improvement projects for Materials Management. This individual is responsible for sustaining and measuring the use of the SAP system including SAP mobile devices. In addition, this individual supports Regulatory inspection and internal audits.
The role will apply subject matter expertise in SAP and business processes to aid users in executing, sustaining, and improving SAP processes and transactions. This requires broad functional SAP expertise and business process knowledge to ensure process continuity and end user satisfaction. Functional expertise includes understanding of the full SAP systems lifecycle: user set-up, master data management and control, change request management, training, troubleshooting, and system performance in order to fill in process gaps. The position resolves issues in regards to transaction codes and the related business processes, interdependencies among them, SAP changes, master data needs and more.
This position engages, supports, and partners with business users and will liaise between IT business analysts and SAP team in managing system design, functionality and changes, executing user acceptance testing, developing work instructions and key user documentation for training and reference purposes.
Nonetheless, this individual will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and data integrity of the SAP system by measuring and reconciliation of the data entered. Finally, this individual will identify and lead project to implement improvements that are feasible under TechOps and IT standards.
40% SAP Utilization, Optimization, Continuous Improvement and Sustainability - working with Materials Management team and surrounding customers to identify areas of opportunity within our business processes for improved system utilization and to execute improvements that will allow for increased robustness & efficiency in those processes.
Manages MM projects and achieves a strong culture of Continuous Improvement philosophies, Supports MM operations and leads projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives
Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements.
35% Business User Support - SAP super user supports Materials Management operations and Manufacturing. Provides first line support to users on basic "how to" system navigation, business process and master data issues. Logs incidents/tickets and escalates pending issues to BPL. Works with MD/BPL's to resolve MD issues & reviews MD set-up. Logs enhancement requests and partners with users and SAP business process leads to gather detail requirements, executes testing, validates improvement, documents updates and reference materials to be used by end users.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree in Business field or IT
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business, technical operations, supply chain or IT
- Minimum of two years of SAP experience
- Working knowledge and Manufacturing and Supply Chain biotech industries experience
- Proven business partnership skills ability to be effective in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and cross-functional expectations.
- Proven record of experience & success in project management
