The Meaningful Use (MU) clinical Informaticist position is responsible for the collection of clinical data (EHR and other clinical applications), aggregation and reporting of that data at the hospital and corporate levels as well as reporting to federal and state agencies to gain accreditation, manage performance and capture reimbursement for services and to qualify for incentive programs. This position will work in collaboration with Information Technology and Quality to design reports, reporting tools and processes for Meaningful Use. This position is responsible for the monitoring of performance of the hospitals with regard to meaningful use and for the resolution of problems and conflicts associated with data collection. Essential Job Duties: - Identify and validate the data elements and data sources required to meet CMS Meaningful Use measures. - Collaborate with Information Technology and Quality resources in the design and delivery of reports and reporting tools for CMS Meaningful Use. - Perform data mapping, document and trace required data elements to the data source(s). - Drive the collection of evidence for MU and validate the evidence is correctly captured. - Assist in the documentation of data discovery for future CMS Meaningful Use and UHS specific measures. - Performs other duties as assignedrequired. Requirements - Bachelors degree in nursing or related healthcare field - Masters degree preferred. - Active nursing or other clinical license. - A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in health informatics, clinical implementations, health analytics, healthcare quality or other related area is required. - Knowledge and experience in the support of Meaningful Use is preferred. - Candidate must demonstrate a balance of clinical knowledge, healthcare business and health analytics. - The candidate should demonstrate the ability to navigate complex organizations effectively and possess strong conflict resolution, facilitation, and communication skills. - Strong project management and analytical skills desired.
