Mechanic Maintenance

Union hourly position responsibile for routine maintenance to equipment and facility. Specialized training and experience needed to perform these functions. Key Results: Preventive and emergency maintenance to equipment, including but not limited to: Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagnostics and repairs Controls/Diagnostic responsbilities inlcluding but not limited to: Understanding PLC programming, interlocks, applications and performing repairs as needed Understanding and performing repairs to all controls Understanding and performing repairs to all automated equipment including but no limited to, conveyors, labelers, casers, etc. Preventive and emergency maintenance to building: Basic plumbing, dock and overhead door repair, lighting repairs, basic wiring repairs, wall repairs, painting, etc. Equipment and machinery modifications and updates using schematics, sketches, manuals, specifications, wirtten and oral instruction Prepare and set up equipment for production Operate within company policies and guidlines for continuous improvement and safety. High School degree or equivalent preferred Two to three (2-3) years of maintenance experience required, preferably in packaging industry. Certifiable mechanical and electrical experience required Computer experience in production environment Must be able to work with a variety of power equipment and tools. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics, and procedure manuals Ability to write legibly Must have basic math skills Ability to make decisions on customer acceptance based on past experience and fitness for use. Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner Must have good interpersonal skills.
