Job Advertised by Pharmadiversity Job Board - Job Title MechanicDepartment PackagingReports To ManagerFLSA StatusNonexemptSUMMARY Sets up and operates variety of filling and packaging machines Replace worn parts repair machines and maintain machines To perform this job successfully an individual must be mechanically inclined and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following Other duties may be assignedTrouble shoots machines or equipment to diagnose malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair Repairs or replaces worndefected parts with either new part or reproduces part from various kinds of metal Performs preventive maintenance to machine and equipment Assembles and test operate machine to verify correction of malfunction Observes and makes necessary adjustments to machine to insure proper container identificationsRecords weights of product every fifteen minutes and makes all necessary adjustments to maintain correct fill weight Makes all necessary adjustments to machine for correct alignment of packaging Maintains and lubricates machines and equipmentEfficiently performs changeovers and set ups Programs bar coded components into the scanning system and challenges for correct readsDocuments all changeovers and set ups on batch paperwork and machine log booksDocuments equipment repair and maintenance in appropriate logsDisassembles cleans and assembles machine Performs cleaning tasks on machine during or after machine operationResponsible for cleaning product dirt grease or other foreign matter from machine surfaces SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May train assistant mechanics or machine setters QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to read and understand cGMPs and SOPs and perform each essential duty satisfactorily The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill andor ability required EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE Prior experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment in a pharmaceutical or similar industry LANGUAGE SKILLS Solid English readingcomprehension skills required to understand detailed SOPSMATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic mathematical skills Knowledge of the metric systemREASONING ABILITIES Ability to comprehend SOPs and cGMPs and identify compliance and noncompliance with samePHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to lift 50 poundsWORK ENVIRONMENT Note This position may require the labeling packaging or movement of hazardous flammable corrosive toxic etc waste within the facility If so this employee would be trained under OSHAs HAZWOPER standard 29 CFR 1910120 as an 8Hour first responder 24Hour incident commander or a 40Hour incident commander In addition to HAZWOPER training the employee will receive training on the requirements of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act pursuant to 40 CFR 26516All employees that have received the above mentioned training upon hire will receive annual refresher training that covers the OSHA.... br/ br/ * For application attention if web source is requested please use PharmaDiversity or PharmaDiversity Job Board. br/ br/ APPLY FOR THIS JOB by going to ...http://www.pharmadiversityjobboard.com/view_job.php?post_id=620768&tag=aje
