Responsibilities/Job Description:

The Mechanic Trainee position is a full-time training position utilized to develop employees for future Mechanic positions. The employee will train directly with Mechanics at multiple locations assisting as necessary to develop the mechanical skills required to become a Mechanic. Must successfully complete the required skill blocks for a Level I Mechanic within 2 years of beginning training. Must be willing to relocate to where an open Mechanic position exists (generally within their Division/geographic region) if the company has that business need.
Duties include: The maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of natural gas turbines, the station air systems, air dryer systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, emergency generators, gas compressors, and the prime movers. The incumbent is expected to respond to emergencies involving high pressure natural gas Pipelines and Compressor Stations.

Incumbent performs work in compliance with Company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies, such as Department of Transportation (DOT) and Enviromental Protection Agency (EPA), through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:


High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of turbine or related experience.
