The Wafer Inspection Division (WIN) is the world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced optical inspection tools for inline monitoring of process defects in advanced semiconductor factories.
We are looking for a mechanical design engineer to enhance our opto-mechanical design team in the Wafer Inspection Group, responsible for leading edge DUV wafer inspection tools.
You will be responsible for the development of subassemblies, covering the complete design process from requirements specification to feasibility studies, analysis and FEA modeling, conceptual and detailed design using ProE, detail drawings, procurement of prototype parts, prototype testing, system integration, and handoff to manufacturing. This includes analytical and experimental validation and optimization of challenging mechanisms and opto-mechanical designs.
* Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design principles, machine elements, materials, and fabrication methods.
* Strong analytical problem solving skills in the structural, dynamic, thermal and fluid domains, and involving both first order calculations as well as FEA methods.
* Experience in precision mechanics, mechanisms and mechatronics.
* Skilled at hands-on lab tests, automated data acquisition and data analysis, especially for thermal measurements.
* Experience with solid CAD, preferably ProE/Creo.
Experience in several of these areas is desirable, but not required: opto-mechanical systems, optics, optics alignment, design of semiconductor equipment or similar instruments, vacuum systems, machine tools, motion controls, electronics, lasers, data acquisition systems such as Labview, measurement instrumentation.
Doctorate (Academic)ORMaster's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.ORBachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
