Mechanical Designer

Perform mechanical design activities to support the development of RTIES products. Design activities include, but are not limited to, creative brainstorming, system layouts and top-down assembly design, detail component design and drafting, documentation, presentations, and team interface.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree preferred.5+ years experience Solidworks experienceMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have basic math and geometry skills for fit checks, tolerance stack-ups, and dimensional verifications. Experience presenting designs and analyses to customers preferred. Experience with deepwater riser systems a plus. Experience with design of machined and welded structures a plus. Machine shop, welding, and backgrounds in other manufacturing methods preferred. Must be proficient in a 3D parametric CAD system (Solidworks preferred), including advanced modeling techniques, top-down assembly design methods, and large assembly management. Must be proficient in the application of ASME Y14 standards for manufacturing drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred, not required, for importing and manipulating customer drawings. Must be proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
