Mechanical Engineer

This position is responsible for organizing highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects.Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: Analyze the production line and machinery to help design parameters of the manufacturing process, and works with technicians, production workers and other manufacturing staff to ensure quality output of machined components. Using design skills and CAD software, oversee the physical design process including testing and revising the mechanical product or part to ensure proper functioning. Evaluate, develop, and improve the manufacturing process, which includes PTFE molding, PTFE paste extrusion and Plastics machining Evaluate customer parts and design the process to produce parts in the most cost efficient and economical way. Quote machining of parts; cycle times, labor, set up, tooling and weights Qualifications/Experience: 5+ years engineering experience preferred Previous CNC mill and Lathe experience Have an understanding of allied disciplines such as electrical, instrument and control engineering Energized Seal Design Experience Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Advanced AutoCAD skills.
