The Mechanical Engineer will carry out engineering assignments concerned with the design of mechanically functioning equipment and processes. Responsible for monitoring production, installation, operation, maintenance, test and repair of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and processes.
Qualified candidate will have 2-5 years experience designing and developing complex electro-mechanical systems. Defense industry preferred. Understanding of military specifications and environment desired, MIL-STD-100 drawing practices preferred. ASME Y14.5 standard a plus. Operational experience with test equipment a plus. Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals required. Requires strong oral/written communication skills. Must be able to prepare written technical procedures and reports. Looking for a hands-on team player with the ability to work independently and with interdepartmental teams.
MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE.
Education: BSME required. With 2+ years related experience or a MS degree.
Computer Skills: CAD proficiency.
Knowledge in analysis software is an advantage.
PC, MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint required.
