Mechanical Engineering Specialist

The Mechanical Engineer-Specialist will design packaging systems to support Rolls-Royce's complete range of industrial gas turbine products.

Key responsibilities:

Develop new mechanical system designs, including gas turbine air intake, acoustic enclosure and exhaustLiaise with procurement and suppliers to source systems and necessary componentsWork with the customer to ensure the product meets their requirementsMaintain cost control of system design within established budgetsSupport design/drafting group with development of assembly/fabrication drawingsWork with Assembly personnel to optimize design for manufacture

Basic:

Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of experience in an Engineering role or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years in Engineering role Demonstrated experience working within a technical team environment Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Preferred:

Experience in fluid flow systems and/or structural systems engineering Experience with industrial gas turbine / packaging engineering
