We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team in Beaumont and help continue our sites development and growth. You will be responsible for ensuring we meet or exceed Lucite and Industry engineering standards for the technical aspects of mechanical maintenance work. This is a key role for us and you will work closely with colleagues across our business to identify, engineer and implement mechanical solutions or improvements to equipment.
Working directly to the Site Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you will have proven experience gained within the Chemicals industry and will be confident in working with operations and maintenance colleagues to improve the reliability of both rotating and stationary equipment. You will be a change agent and comfortable with taking ownership and accountability for on-going and project work as the mechanical lead.
We are passionate about Health, Safety and Environment and this role will play a key part in ensuring our safety standards, policies and procedures are fit for purpose and that our colleagues go home safely at the end of their working day. You will lead our Process Hazard, Root Cause Failure analysis, and reliability maintenance studies, developing maintenance strategies to ensure assets are available to the business as required in an effort to achieve World Class reliability and maintenance effectiveness. You will create long range plans for mechanical equipment and provide adequate training for colleagues as well as being a resource for our manufacturing colleagues when they require support.
You will have a strong background of mechanical systems, and an ABS in Mechanical Engineering is required. As such there will be significant opportunities to develop your career within our business, knowledge of Process Equipment, including piping, valves, pumps, tanks and pressure vessels is essential as well as an understanding of process safety management. 10+ years of experience in static equipment reliability is required, general understanding of metallurgy, and codal compliance (API 510 and API 570) is desired. You will have strong interpersonal skills, determination and an analytical approach to problem solving, making sure that the root cause is understood before actions are taken to rectify an issue. Most importantly you will be a self-starter with a desire to achieve results.
