MECHANICAL RELIABILITY ENGINEER
The Mechanical Reliability Engineer will provide the expertise and technical support to maintain and improve the reliability of systems in the plant to continuously improve maintenance efficiency and costs while meeting the business needs of the site through improved equipment reliability. The individual will accomplish this by data gathering, failure analysis, troubleshooting, and development of predictive/preventative maintenance programs for equipment. Role provides support to operating units by engineering solutions and leading/managing repairs and improvements of operating equipment.

Develop and execute projects, processes, and procedures that will continuously reduce reactive maintenance requirements, improve reliability and maintenance efficiency through predictive and preventive maintenance as well as deliver training to others in order to drive improvements.
Establish and maintain planned and predictive maintenance programs for equipment and set parameters for amount and type of maintenance performed within the programs.
Assist the Project Group and Others in the evaluation of new equipment, equipment repairs, and reliability upgrades analyzing stores stock, life cycle costs and in developing maintenance procedures and PM's for mechanical equipment.
Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize plant designs for EHS, cost effectiveness, reliability, operability and maintainability.
Stay up to date with industry standards in order to maintain, and adhere to engineering practices and guidelines required to achieve compliance with governmental laws and policies and industry best practices.
Keep abreast of and evaluate new industry products and techniques for applications at the site.
Maintain communications with outside contractors, suppliers, and representatives of other companies on matters of mutual interest involving rotating equipment and general maintenance as well as compliance with standards, specifications and regulations.
Maintain records on equipment histories and costs, coordinates with operations and maintenance supervisors for needed changes toward increasing reliability.
Gather and examine basic reliability data from field studies or data base, and correlate the data for analysis using well defined engineering techniques, principles, and procedures to evaluate equipment fitness for service against applicable industry and company standards.
Perform RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) analysis on equipment failures.

_Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You_
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering degreepreferred)
5+ years of petro-chemical maintenance/reliability experience
CMRP certification preferred
Proven track record as a Maintenance Reliability Engineer in operating chemical plants
Ability to manage work priorities to deliver real performance improvements in a busy and demanding work environment.
Sincere commitment to safety with the ability & willingness to enforce and practice site safety rules and procedures
Strong leadership skills
Strong organizational skills along with the ability to handle a fast paced environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good computer skills
Comfortable both managing and "doing". A hands-on approach and willingness/ability to work the details
Must be able to work in a diverse environment - working closely with mechanics, operators, engineers, contractors, vendors, consultants and management to solve problems, improve the equipment reliability platform, and further the company's business objectives.
